General Info

Located at 5432 Victoria Dr, Vancouver, BC V5P 3V7, Canada, Hapag Ihaw-Ihaw Restaurant is a Filipino restaurant that offers a welcoming and casual dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the relaxed atmosphere and friendly counter service created the kind of environment that makes guests feel comfortable whether they are stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for dinner.

One of the standout items on the menu is the Chicken Inasal Combo. The chicken is flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked with care, making it a popular choice for diners looking to enjoy a classic Filipino favorite. Another signature dish worth trying is the Crispy Pata Crispy Pork Hock. It delivers a satisfying combination of crispy skin and tender meat, creating a rich and memorable dining experience.

For those who enjoy traditional grilled specialties, the Isaw Na Baboy Grilled Pork Intestines adds an authentic touch to the menu. Its smoky flavor and distinctive texture make it a favorite among guests seeking familiar Filipino comfort food. The variety available on the menu ensures there is something for different tastes, whether visitors are dining alone or sharing dishes with friends and family.

A meal at Hapag Ihaw-Ihaw Restaurant feels incomplete without trying the Halo Halo. This well-loved Filipino dessert offers a refreshing finish to the dining experience. Its combination of flavors and textures provides a sweet contrast to the savory dishes served throughout the meal.

The restaurant also caters to customers who prefer to enjoy their food elsewhere through its convenient delivery service. This flexibility makes it easy for locals to enjoy Filipino cuisine at home while still experiencing the flavors that have made the restaurant a recognizable dining destination in the area.

Based on my visit, Hapag Ihaw-Ihaw Restaurant stands out for its approachable atmosphere, authentic Filipino dishes, and reliable service. The casual setting makes it suitable for both everyday meals and relaxed gatherings. Reviews from diners often highlight the comforting food and welcoming environment, while the convenient location on Victoria Drive makes it accessible for residents and visitors exploring nearby locations in Vancouver. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite, planning a dinner outing, or ordering delivery, this Filipino restaurant offers a satisfying experience centered around traditional flavors and hearty portions.

What customers say?

“ Dropped by Hapag for a quick meal before heading to downtown today. I ordered their Chicken Inasal combo + Pork Lumpia Shanghai. I found the prices very reasonable and the quality of food of good quality. I will bring the family to Hapag next time so we can order and try more dishes. They offer a wide range of Filipino desserts as well. Chef and his staff were friendly and were quick to acknowledge upon entering their establishment. Nothing beats the warmth of Filipino hospitality. ”

“ Walking into Hapag felt like stepping back into the heart of my childhood. The smell of grilled meat, the warm welcome, the sounds of a bustling kitchen, it all brought me back to the karenderia vibes I grew up with. I had the Chicken BBQ combo, and my husband went for the Miki Bihon combo. Both were savory, filling, and perfectly seasoned, just the kind of comfort food that doesn’t just satisfy your stomach, but your soul too. And for the price? Honestly, you get great portions without feeling like you're overpaying. What truly sealed the deal for me was the sawsawan, that authentic dipping sauce that every Filipino knows has to be just right. And this one was. It tasted exactly like what we used to mix back home: sharp, tangy, and just the right kick. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the whole place gave off that no-frills, home-style feel that makes you want to sit down, eat with your hands, and maybe even order an extra ulam just because. If you're craving food that tastes like home and fills you with good memories, Hapag is where you’ll find it. ”

“ Recently bought their Lumpiang Gulay, Pancit Miki, and Halo-Halo for lunch! They use cabbage instead of toge (mung bean sprouts) for their lumpiang gulay but it's still good! Plus the house vinegar to go with it makes it even better! The Pancit Miki is decent for its price and the highlight of their halo-halo is the ice cream. Will definitely order again and will try other viands as well. ”
